I’ve finished my church history lectures [sound of popping champagne corks]. So hopefully we I catch up with things like Christmas cards, Christmas shopping, and papers for the classes I have been taking at the seminary, I’ll come up with something approaching original content. In any case, I have been thinking about the direction I’d like to go with this blog in the coming year. I’ve thought about including some more personal content especially with respect to the journey my husband and I may be taking toward the Diaconate. After 18 months of preparation, we’ll be official applicants beginning in January 2008 and we should know by next fall whether we have been accepted. Is that too dull for a blog? Does anyone care to know about that journey? I also think that I would also like to use this blog to add focus to my prayer life and blog prayer intentions just in case anyone would like to share in those as well. As for apologetics, I’m feeling some “Theology of the Body” posts welling up inside of me. Particularly, in light of some of what I learned while preparing for these Church history lectures and the Church’s fight for Trinitarian doctrine.
I don’t have many “regular” readers of this blog. Most people seem to drop by as the result of a Google search and that’s ok because mostly I blog just to hear myself talk. (As the mother of three, sometimes you just need to go someplace where you can pretend people are listening to you. [grin]) BUT….I’d be curious to know what you think if you’d like to share. You are also welcome to email me (you can find my email address in the ‘about me’ link) or leave a private message in my ‘guest book’ on the sidebar.
