In a moment of pure insanity, I offered to teach two thousand years of Church history over two week’s to my parish’s RCIA class. I have no idea what I was thinking. Yes, I majored in history in college but it was most decidedly not Church history. I have been up to my eyeballs in history books trying to distill 2,000 of years of popes, and kings, and heresiarchs, and the Crusades, and the Inquisition, and more into a series of Powerpoint slides.

Add into the mix of current projects, work, homeschooling, some papers for the seminary class I have been taking, and the stupid Christmas letter and you can look for some spotty blogging over the next few weeks. I’ll try to go through my files and put up some of my favorite things to meditate on but don’t hold your breath for anything remotely original until after Christmas.
